What This Spiritual Gifts Inventory Can Do For You:
- You can learn what, some have called, your motivational gift(s) might be. Everybody seems to have at least one of the gifts listed in Romans 12:6-8.
- You can learn what some of the gifts are that you definitely do not have based on low scores in those areas.
- You can have your appetite whetted to go deeper.
What This Inventory Cannot Do For You:
- You cannot learn from this test what your gift mix is. You may very well have other gifts that will add into your unique God-given ability to serve.
- You cannot see how your personality, passions, and experience link into your spiritual gifts to form your best fit in ministry.
The Finding Your Best Fit in Ministry Book will assist you in developing a basic ministry profile.
A Personalized Ministry Profile will provide a more comprehensive evaluation.
To take the test:
Simply click on a circle to respond to each numbered statement. To change your answer just click on another response. You must respond to every statement or the test will not be accurate.
Be careful to choose your answer based on what you really sense to be your desires, interests, or abilities and not what you "have to do" because of your position or what you "should do."

QUESTION: What is the right terminology? Am I taking a spiritual gifts test or survey? Is it a spiritual gifts questionnaire or inventory? Or, is it a gifts assessment or analysis?
| |
This kind of tool has been called all of the above but not all terms adequately describe it, although they are used interchangeably on the site due to common Christian lingo.
- It's not really a test.
- There are no right or wrong answers. --Gifts are about God's design for you.
- Reflecting personal achievement is not the objective. --Gifts are about God's power through you.
- Grades do not apply. --Gifts are about God's grace in you.
- It's more like an inventory or survey in the form of a questionnaire to help you identify your spiritual gifts.
- A spiritual gifts inventory does not determine your gifts but rather helps you identify your God-given assets. You are taking stock of what God has already given you.
- Hence, you need a tool that will make you consider how you feel about something, what you have experienced, and how others have perceived you in ministry.
- More than being a test, it is a self-evaluative questionnaire wherein you respond to a list of questions or statements.
- It's not so much of an assessment or analysis but rather a starting point.
- After you know what your gifts are, it is time to examine the results and draw conclusions.
- An assessment is done to take you to the next level. How can you actually use your spiritual gifts for maximum effectiveness in serving the Lord?
